what were once shadows, revealed as matter.

wow. this is a lot to stomach for one sitting. after viewing this, you'll know what i mean:-

8 minutes of filth. misplaced patriotism and misguided nationalism. that's enough mis-isms for one day. you want to know more, go to jeff ooi's screenshots (here and here) and anwar ibrahim's blog.

i can't begin to understand how litigants who hv been affected by the goings-on described in the video stomach the fact that their cases may hv been decided on anything but the law. let alone practitioners who slog day in and out, only to find out the bald faced truth, that the law is subverted in such a manner.

the bar council's response to this video can only mean one thing - a loss of credibility - both for the judiciary and the government of the day. maybe it is or is not ahmad fairuz on the other end of the line, we'll never know. so unless vk lingam pops up to say that it was merely a well orchestrated video, in which he planned to parody himself for his so-called frat house alumni dinner entertainment, i don't know how he's going to weasel out of this.

i can forsee international investors apart from mark mobius, who in his right mind decided to pack up his funds and leave this country and who according to syed albar is only 1 out of 10 fund managers who appear to have his head screwed wrong, starting to think twice if such allegations do prove that in this country it's justice at a price... the right one, of course. mind you 1 out of 10 is 10%...

the video also raises the sceptre of suspect elevations to the appellate courts. that points out nazri aziz's recent bull-headedness in forming an independent commission to appoint judges as being unfounded and hopelessly ill-intentioned.

is malaysia this fucked up for no one to notice that nothing beats an honest day's work? i really am gobsmacked by this video. i'm used to the idea that there are lawyers who think judges are dirty, but i always push through with the belief that even through dirt, a good legal argument will always shine through.

syed albar and everyone living under and professing the virtues of the shroud of the National Front can hv their la-la land jingoism and proclaim "we are unity, we are harmony, we are integrity" all they want but you can dress up a 10 dollar hooker and she'd still be a 10 dollar hooker.

ahmad fairuz, wants to leave his post as CJ with a bang. initially i thought maybe that's why he was going all don quixote abt scraping our local reliance on english common law and substituting it with malay/islam jurisprudence. i can only say, "lu siaw-ah?!?". but with this video, i think he ought to come forward and come clean before going on his high horse on the road littered with windmills.

so, as details become clearer as the days go by, we just hv to hope that the truth will out. until next time... kill the lights and pray you don't see daylight.....
