things that get misconstrued in the 3rd world.

now, no wonder sex ed is out of the question in local schools. =)

be careful when u name ur kid.

... but as i was saying somewhere on this blog, that i forget. there's a reason why madtv appears second rate. it's talent. take a look atthe snl bunch here. see if you can spot the lot of them. i always felt this was one of the more consistent sketches on snl. you can go search for more to see what i mean.

have a good day. try to. it has been a good one, because it appears you can still get the bejeezus bombed out of your tailpipe for believing in your politics here in the 3rd world. i don't hv a high opinion of mdm. bhutto, butt the bhutto has right to speak even if the it's all potty.

stop and smell the gravel.

what an odd day...

here with the i-rack... thhe thing about madtv is that alot of the time the sketches don't work. this is one of them, but you see where they're coming from, and it does give me a glimmer of a snicker. =)

where it began, when the phoenix arises from the ashes and soars.

when money isn't everything. which kind of reminds me of russell crowe in "a beautiful mind" when he assuredly asked, "are you capable of original thought?". think about that for a moment.

and to rub it in...

so there you go. i've been thinking pretty hard about the message. nothing got lost in translation. the theme, so to speak, has always been about redemption. whether we like it or not, we're all looking for it in different ways. if you're looking for it, godspeed. if you're not, we'd like to know about it.

have a half-full day.

today's not much different from yesterday...

here's the original scene that the good folks at sprint probably watched when they were kids, too. =)

and the original english trailer...

...and how about the theme song? wait till you come to next one after it. blood will boil for the right reasons. i like the setting, very NBT-like. wonder if we've got anything like this playgin downtown KL?

ok... just to cap this lil fan appreciation session, here's the original opening credits in italian and a scene right after it...

hope you've enjoyed that little trip down memory lane with me. you can learn more about trinity and bambino by clicking on their names. i was duly surprised.

love y'all.
